Monday
Supermarket shopping trips (on request)
Volunteers will drive families to a local supermarket where they can shop for any essential items. Families need to inform a staff member the evening prior if they wish to be collected.

Radio Lollipop activities
Radio Lollipop volunteers run activities and games for children of all ages.

Children’s yoga
Our children’s yoga programme helps children increase physical fitness and knowledge of body parts, customized to the wide-ranging needs of those attending.

Free trip and entry to Kelly Tarlton’s for House families!
When: 11:00am-1:00pm
Where: Shuttle departs promptly from Ronald McDonald House at 11am. Families are collected and then returned to House at 1pm.

Volunteer dinners for families
One night each week a family dinner for all families staying with us is provided by volunteers from the community. This is generally held on a Wednesday but these days do change on occasion.

The RMH Auckland Trust funds and governs Ronald McDonald House Auckland (48 rooms) and the Ronald McDonald House Family Room (13 short stay critical care rooms) in Starship Hospital. It is a registered community charitable trust comprised of the following partners: Auckland District Health Board, Child Cancer Foundation, Heart Children, The Rotary Club of Downtown Auckland, Ronald McDonald House Charities and 2 community representatives. The House and Family Room provide a ‘home away from home’ for over 3,000 families of children with life-threatening illnesses each year. The Trust through its staff and partnerships actively fundraises throughout New Zealand to achieve the $2,300,000 p.a. it needs to run the facilities and support its families.
