June’s story
“I always feel I have gained something when I visit — so who better when I am ‘not around’ any more to benefit from a bequest from my estate” — June
A supporter of the House for many years, June is a founding committee member of our Bequest Society, and indeed a bequestor herself. June explains what this involvement means to her:
“I was first involved with the House through my Zonta Club which involved us fundraising [for the House]. I have no children of my own but my heart always goes out to those brave little faces, they seem so happy. The House is a happy house and although deeply saddened by their plight, I always feel I have gained something when I visit — so who better when I am ‘not around’ any more to benefit from a bequest from my estate. In the meantime I am able to ‘spread the word’ about the wonderful support that Ronald McDonald House gives by the way of a ‘home away from home’ to the families who are in such desperate need.”
